It’s very important to me to feel present and confident on my wedding day! I feel like hair and makeup are two of the most important factors in this, and I’m excited to work together to find a look that works.
My philosophy around hair and makeup is that less is more.
Note that because I don’t ever wear makeup and rarely use social media, my idea of light makeup might be different than many people’s! I realize that people say light makeup will seem washed out. However, I am hiring a film / documentary style photographer who says that this will not be a concern. I care 1000x more about how I feel on my wedding day than how my pictures will turn out. I know I will look best when I feel most comfortable with myself. 🙂
Also note that there are things about makeup I don’t understand, so I might be misunderstanding certain things here.
What I want
What I don’t want
This is me camping recently, zero makeup/filter, feeling most like myself! I basically want to look like this but slightly **more polished.
Brows: I have thick brows already, so a wax like the Glossier Boy Brow is enough.
Eye makeup: My monolids eat up eyeliner so I need a lot to have it show. Because I truly would like a no makeup look, I want minimal to no eye makeup!
Foundation: I’d love foundation that is not too heavy! I have experimented with Illuminaire Mineral Foundation but of course am open to other non-cakey ones.
Blush: I don’t love heavy blush (as you can see below). I think it’s an Asian thing—just want that fresh skin!
Skin: I have pretty dry skin.
